NUEVO PROTOCOLO A SEGUIR EN LA CLÍNICA DENTAL

 

Estimados Pacientes:

Como todos sabemos esta crisis mundial con la aparición de este nuevo virus ha venido a cambiar nuestros estilos de vida. La forma en que ustedes se manejan en la casa, en el supermercado, banco, farmacia etc… ha cambiado, de igual forma las clínicas dentales han cambiado los protocolos para así tener una protección adecuada para ustedes como para el personal de las clínicas. A continuación brevemente les explico lo que se hará en la clínica.

PROTOCOLO A SEGUIR:

1) Desinfección de calzado al momento de ingresar a la clínica
2) Descartaremos cualquier tipo de guantes si los trae puestos
3) Lavado de manos de paciente
4) Acudir a la clínica sólo sin acompañante (a no ser que se trate de un menor o persona que necesita ayuda)
5) Retirarse pulseras, collares, relojes o pendientes
6) Llegar a la hora pactada
7) Uso de protección ocular para el paciente antes empezar tratamiento
8) Uso de enjuague desinfectante por parte del paciente antes de comenzar procedimientos
9) Uso de babero descartable sobre el paciente
10) Las citas serán espaciadas entre los pacientes para evitar que 1 o 2 pacientes tengan que esperar en la sala de espera.

Muchos de estos pasos ya son efectuados en la clínica normalmente.

PERSONAL DE LA CLÍNICA PASOS A SEGUIR:
1) Desinfección de calzado al momento de ingresar a la clínica
2) Descartar cualquier tipo de guante si los trae puestos
3) Lavado de manos del personal
4) Uso de protección ocular para el personal antes empezar tratamiento
5) Uso de cubrebocas ( mascarillas ) y guantes
6) Antes de pasar al paciente al operatorio ( lugar donde se encuentra la silla dental ) este estará completamente desinfectado igualmente se hará al terminar
7) Uso de gorro, bata y cubrezapatos impermeables y desechables
8) Uso de dique de goma ( material de latex que se usa sobre los dientes a tratar para evitar contaminación )
9) Uso de material descartable para cubrir todas las zonas que el personal toca durante el procedimiento al finalizar todo este material debe ser desechado y cambiado para el siguiente paciente.

Existe un protocolo mucho más extenso para el personal de la clínica en lo referente a instrumental, materiales y demás si desean saber más al respecto no duden en comunicarse para su explicación.

Dear Patients: As we all know this world crisis with the appearance of this new virus has come to change our lifestyles. The way you handle yourself at home, in the supermarket, bank, pharmacy, etc ... has changed, in the same way, dental clinics have changed protocols in order to have adequate protection for you and for the staff of the clinics. Below I briefly explain what will be done in the clinic.

PROTOCOL TO FOLLOW:
1) Disinfection of footwear upon entering the clinic
2) We will discard any type of gloves if you are wearing them
3) Washing of patient's hands
4) Go to the clinic only unaccompanied (unless it is a minor or someone who needs help)
5) Withdraw bracelets, necklaces, watches or earrings
6) Arrive at the agreed time
7) Use of eye protection for the patient before starting treatment
8) Use of disinfectant rinse by the patient before beginning procedures
9) Use of disposable bib on the patient
10) Appointments will be spaced between patients to avoid 1 or 2 patients having to wait in the waiting room.

Many of these steps are already performed in the clinic normally

CLINICAL STAFF STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1) Disinfection of footwear upon entering the clinic
2) Discard any type of glove if you are wearing them
3) Staff hand washing
4) Use of eye protection for personnel before starting treatment
5) Use of masks and gloves
6) Before passing the patient to the operative (place where the dental chair is located), this will be completely disinfected, and will be done again when finished
7) Use of disposable, waterproof cap, gown and shoe covers
8) Use of rubber dam (latex material that is used on the teeth to be treated to avoid contamination)
9) Use of disposable material to cover all the areas that the staff touches during the procedure at the end of all this material should be discarded and changed for the next patient.
